Once Upon A Time is ready to get Frozen.
Capitalizing on one of the biggest movies in recent memory, writers have included Frozen characters as part of their fourth season plans and a former Fringe star has been cast in one of these new roles.
Georgina Haig will play Queen Elsa of Arendelle — the kind-of villain from the movie. According to co-creator Eddy Kitsis, there will be some differentiation in her Once Upon A Time TV iteration.
“The thing we love about Elsa is she is perceived to be a villain but is clearly misunderstood, and that goes to the heart of our show.”
Co-creator Adam Horowitz added, ““We are very well aware of how beloved Frozen is, so we’re very careful that we want to tell a story that is uniquely ours but also honors those characters that everyone fell in love with this past year.”
It was previously announced that newcomer Elizabeth Lall and Greek‘s Scott Michael Foster have been cast as Frozen‘s Anna & Kristoff.
In addition, TVLine is reporting that Lost‘s Elizabeth Mitchell will join the show, but her role is still uncertain although it is expected that she will also be connected to the Frozen story arc.
