Sometimes the best way to save the future is to go to the future first and then back to the past. But this summer’s $740 million worldwide hit, X-Men: Days of Future Past, didn’t have to use a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor option. Instead, it was stalwart mutant Wolverine (reprised by Hugh Jackman for the 7th time!) who went back in time to stop the end of the world.
Fox Home Entertainment has announced that the hit X-Men sequel will make its arrival to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on October 14th and Digital HD September 23rd. With a cast comprised of actors and actresses from both the original X-Men Trilogy (X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand) and reboot (X-Men: First Class), this sequel, which sees the return of Bryan Singer to the franchise, is considered one of the best the franchise has offered.
The releases will feature 1080p video, lossless soundtracks, and will have an hour of never-before-seen special features that include the construction of the Sentinels program, a look at how the extraordinary Pentagon kitchen sequence was accomplished, a gag reel, and deleted scenes with optional commentary Singer.
