In recapping the month of June, and some of the best in trailers, news, and home releases contained therein, I had included a trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. But the second trailer for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller release seems like child’s play compared to the lengthy, red-band trailer that dropped during Comic-Con.
With it hitting the web in rapid fashion, I waited so I didn’t spoil myself. Unless comic-book noir and bloody mayhem aren’t your thing, or you are fatigued from its style a la 300: Rise of an Empire, then you’re going to love this. Opening in sublime fashion with a signature line, “This rotten town, it soils everybody,” it then leads to some supreme editing of images from Miller graphic novel to footage he co-directed with Robert Rodriguez.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Miller’s stories about the city’s most hard-boiled citizens crossing paths with some of its most reviled inhabitants.
The star-studded cast includes Eva Green, Jessica Alba, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Rosario Dawson, Powers Booth, Lady Gaga and many more.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens August 22, 2014.
