Doctor Who Spoilers: Jenna Coleman Previews New Characters

Spoilers

There are a bunch of new faces that are coming aboard the new season of Doctor Who and even fans might need a guide to figure them all out.

Luckily, EW recently caught up with Jenna Coleman who plays Clara Oswald on the show to get a preview of the new roles.

Frank Skinner

Comedian Skinner, a huge Doctor Who fan, will be joining the series and Coleman couldn’t be more excited about his arrival. “He is a huge, huge, huge Doctor Who fan,” she said. “We’d do scenes between me and Peter and then you’d often just see Frank basically soaking it all up and just really really enjoying being on the TARDIS and the whole experience. It was funny to have a proper, proper fan who really does know everything about Doctor Who folklore.”

Keely Hawes

Hawes has signed on to play a “powerful out-of-this world character” who has a deep and dark secret. Doctor and Clara meet the character, Ms. Delphox, on a strange planet. “She’s great,” said Coleman. “She’s playing this naughty but nice, really sexy villain who kind of kills you but with a sweet smile.”

Foxes

We first learned that the British singer & songwriter would be appearing on the show last May, despite not knowing much more detail about her character. “She’s really cool,” said Coleman. “I know her personally as well. I don’t actually know how much I can say about it but it’s a very clever way in which she is brought in and—what can I say?—there’s music!”
