By now, the UFC community is completely aware of yesterday’s press conference scrap between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. One of the interesting points of contention, however, is the role played by Jones’ manager in the skirmish.
On first viewing, it looks like Malki Kawa threw a few punches at Cormier during the scuffle but the manager denied the accusation on his Twitter by saying:
I didn’t throw a punch. Reached down to grab his arms. I pulled dc out. Watch the slow motion vid and you’ll see. I broke it up…
A video of the scrap was posted on Twitter where it appears clear that Kawa was simply trying to separate the two UFC 178 headliners.
