There was a time when Mischa Barton was on top of the world.
Already a film star, the actress turned into an overnight teen sensation with the success of FOX’s The O.C. but seemingly fell into total obscurity after she decided to leave the show.
When asked by Metro if she’d do the show that changed her life so drastically again, she replied “probably not.”
“It’s something I came so close to not doing,” Barton said. “I had a really great thing with film. People say, be grateful for what you have, but it certainly [was] not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be…I’ve kind of seen it all,” Barton says.
After three seasons, she quit to pursue a film career, which never quite came together
Since leaving The O.C., Barton’s appeared on several projects including canceled CW series The Beautiful Life: TBL, Law and Order: SVU and a slew of projects that went nowhere. All the while, tabloid coverage of her social life turned her into a poor man’s Lindsay Lohan as it has been widely reported that her house is in foreclosure.
Currently, Barton models for e-cigarette VAPESTICK.
