Modern Family has always done a great job at infusing new recurring characters into the series, without disrupting the chemistry of the regular cast.
A few episodes after the show premieres (on September 24), writers plan on introducing Lily’s elementary school teacher. The teacher is described as being super strict and will run her classroom like a dictator runs a country which not only strikes fear in her students but also in their parents as well. It’s assumed Phil will be terrified of her.
