While UFC fans are still lamenting the fact that Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier will not be meeting at UFC 178 next month, Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson couldn’t be happier.
As a result of Jones withdrawing from the match due to injury, Demetrious Johnson’s title defense against Chris Cariaso was named as the new main event.
The UFC Flyweight champion tweeted that while his fans will have to wait a little while longer to see him perform, he is satisfied that the UFC now has a ‘real main event’ to promote for the card.
