Just when Hotch was starting to find love in a hopeless place, it appears it wasn’t destined to last.
After finally getting over the death of his wife and finding love again, it appears Hotch is destined for more heartache at the start of the new season. With Bellamy Young headed back to Scandal, her Criminal Minds’ character Beth has been written off the show and the break-up with Hotch will be addressed in the first half of the season. The show’s EP teased that this doesn’t mean there won’t be a new love on the horizon for Aaron.
“The audience will learn that in the first half of the season. The goal will be to see if he can get out there and meet someone new.”
