Two of the UFC’s top heavyweights will meet in December at UFC 181.
Travis Browne and Brendan Schaub are set to fight at the event, UFC officials told FOXSports.com.
The event takes place on December 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Browne had won three straight fights and was a victory away from a title shot, but lost by decision to Fabricio Werdum at UFC on FOX 11. Prior to the loss, the fighter boasted consecutive “Knockout of the Night” wins over Gabriel Gonzaga, Alistair Overeem and Josh Barnett.
Schaub, was a finalist on The Ultimate Fighter who has wins over Lavar Johnson and Matt Mitrione. He faced former champ Andrei Arlovski in June at UFC 174 where he lost by split decision.
