Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was recently called out by Lyoto Machida and in a recent interview wit Globo, announced that he will accept the challenge.
Although the former Strikeforce Middleweight champion is on the verge of a title shot after collecting seven straight wins, he said he wouldn’t refuse a request to fight Machida and risk a chance at becoming champion if that is what his company asked him to do.
“I’m a employee of UFC and today I’m close to fight for the belt,” Souza said. “This is undeniable. But I could scrunch Lyoto. It could happen, but I’m in the line for the title and this is my focus.”
