WWE Wrestlemania 31 is still more than six months away, but the rumors continue to swirl for two megastars to make in-ring appearances at the event.
Sting, who tweeted a teaser for September 22, is already under merchandise contract and has been actively campaigning for a match against the Undertaker for WM31. Most expect Sting to have a match of some sort at Mania, in what would likely be his first and only match in WWE ever.
Another huge star that has been coy about having another match is Stone Cold Steve Austin. He has two reality series that are on-going, and has reportedly been “training hard right now”. Many are taking this to be an un-spoken sign that Austin is training to get back into ring shape for another, possibly final, match at Wrestlemania 31. While Austin is reportedly not opposed to having another match, a key part will be to have the right creative in place, and of course, the right payday.
