TVLine reports that Damon’s death will bring out a new and dangerous side of Elena.
In addition, it appears Stefan is committed to starting over and his new life is explored and we also learn about his new job. “We get to learn what his process is as a vampire, starting over and living a different identity,” executive producer Caroline Dries told TVLine.com. Stefan will also continue his search for a witch with the ability to talk to the dead.
Finally, it appears the biggest issue for a resurrected Alaric will be his inability to impress women. “One of the problems he’s going to be having is just how to go on a normal date and be a normal guy again,” Dries says. Elena’s pretty new doctor mentor Jo (played by Prison Break‘s Jodi Lynn O’Keefe) “is going to bring that side out of him.”
