At the time of its release in theaters we remarked that Guardians of the Galaxy were “The Misfits You’d Want To Invite To An Intergalactic Kegger.” It seems we weren’t the only ones who made that conclusion, as it was one of the biggest party movies of a dismal summer in terms of entertainment. What was thought to have been Marvel Studios’ riskiest venture since it started with Iron Man in 2008 ultimately became one of the biggest movies of 2014 with more than $645 million in gross receipts.
It was only a matter of time before its Christmas-timed announcement would be made official. Early speculation is that it would be available on DVDs and Blu-rays on December 9th. That date is correct, but how about special features to be included?
