Floyd Mayweather Sr. Promises That Mayweather & Pacquiao Super Fight Will Happen

News, Top Story

Another day, another story about the dream fight that has yet to happen.

While Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, recently said that a super fight against Floyd Mayweather was possible for next year, it appears Mayweather’s camp also believes that the match will happen.

In a recent interview with fighthype.com, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., father and on-again-off-again trainer to the champion, confirmed that the Mayweather/Pacquiao match is confirmed.

“It’s gonna happen. That fight’s gonna happen. Trust me.”

If you’re feeling skeptical, it’s certainly justified, particularly when Floyd Sr. adds that he has never spoken to his son about this:

“[I’ll] tell you right now, he never told me the fight’s gonna happen, but … the fight’s gonna happen.”
