UFC vet Mike Ricci was supposed to fight for Titan FC’s lightweight title tonight.
Instead, his fight against Yoshiyuki Yoshida (17-6) is now a non-title bout after Ricci (10-4) failed to make weight on Thursday. Sherdog.com reported the news.
Ricci will be fined 20 percent of his fight purse, and the bout will continue as a 157-pound catchweight. Yoshida successfully made weight at 154.4 pounds. The rest of the fighters on the card made weight without issue.
Titan FC 31 takes place at USF Sundome in Tampa, Fla., on Friday. The main card airs on CBS Sports Network (10 p.m. ET) following prelims on CBSSports.com (8 p.m. ET).
