At Saturday’s International 7 event in Sao Paulo Brazil, Wanderlei Silva said that he would gladly take on Chael Sonnen for the XFC promotion.
“If (Sonnen) accepts the fight, why not?” Silva replied. “I’d do it. Why not? I’m here. Come get it.”
Yesterday, Sonnen responded to the call-out and reiterated his position. Namely, that he would accept the challenge, but only if it was a grappling contest in Metamoris.

Sonnen told MMAmania.com that in addition to his retirement from active competition, he plans to honor his current suspension from NSAC, which doesn’t expire until mid-2016. He is, however, willing to throw down against Silva in a jiu-jitsu match under the Metamoris banner, should the Brazilian be willing to comply.
