Yesterday, I had the chance to catch up with my pal and Big Brother 3 casting director Robyn Kass at the John Bassett Theatre in Toronto. Topics discussed include Robyn’s love for Canada and whether names play a role in the casting process (for example could somebody named ‘Neda’ be cast on Season 3 since there was already a Neda last season). We also talked about whether it is easier to find stronger female houseguests in Canada considering how well Jillian and Neda did on the first two seasons whereas Big Brother 16 was absolutely dominated by the men. I asked Robyn about the inherent pressure of casting a third season especially after the Big Brother Canada 2 cast was one of the best complete casts in the history of the show. Finally, we talk about my audition experiences on the show. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this!
