Norifumi Yamamoto Set To Return To UFC After Three-Year Absence

Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto, has signed a new deal with the UFC that will see him return to the organization after a three-year sabbatical.

The 37-year-old Yamamoto (18-6, 1 no contest) takes on Roman Salazar (9-3) in a match announced today by UFC’s Japan office that will take place at UFC 184 on February 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Yamamoto hasn’t been seen since UFC 144 on February 26, 2012, at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. In that match, the Japanese fighter was submitted in the first round by Vaughan Lee. It was his third UFC loss in a row.
