WWE Wrestlemania 31 News: Sting/HHH Probable, Rest Undecided, Brock Face Turn Possible

News

Some early notes on 2015’s marquee event.

With only a few months until WWE Wrestlemania 31, there is said to be only one match mostly set for the event.

Sting vs. HHH was set up at Survivor Series 2014, with Sting interfering in the main event and costing the Authority the match. Barring something major, the plan is to go ahead with Sting vs. HHH as the match for Wrestlemania 31 for a number of reasons. HHH is a good hand in the ring and will be able to guide Sting through a good in-ring match. In addition, HHH can job in the match and give the fans a happy Sting ending.

Besides that match, there is said to be not much set in stone. The Undertaker’s status is unclear and even John Cena’s role could be shifting.

There is talk of Brock Lesnar doing a face turn, whether or not he was leaving the company. The concern is that the heel side of WWE is weak, and without Lesnar, the biggest heel is Rollins, then Wyatt, then a huge dropoff to Kane/Big Show. The point could be moot if Lesnar is really done with WWE for Wrestlemania, although the turn could be done between now and then.
