TNA News: Budget Cutbacks, NYC Taping News, Future Tapings Return To Orlando

News

TNA had the first of three shows at the Manhattan Center on Wednesday night.

Interestingly, the show aired on a 2 hour delay and was not truly live.

Because of low ticket sales and the move to a smaller network, the production budget was slashed for the show, and there were far less people working the show. The lighting was clearly effected, and the show felt and looked more like a Ring of Honor show than even Impact in 2014.

In international TV news, TNA officials were not able to get a new Canadian TV deal in time for last night’s episode of Impact on Destination America. They are still working to get a TV clearance in Canada to return to TV in that country.

The results from tonight’s tapings should be available later tonight.

TNA is expected to be returning to Orlando to tape most of the Impact shows moving forward. Because it is already a TV studio and costs are cheaper than on the road, the production quality is expected to improve somewhat as 2015 progresses.
