WWE News: Heath Slater Charges Dropped, Drastically Changed MSG House Show Card For February

News

Some weekend news and notes…

Heath Slater, who had been subject to an investigation surrounding assault charges, had those charges dropped. The judge in the case basically felt the statute of limitation for the charges had run out. While the incident happened in 2011, alleged victim Corrine Oliver didn’t press charges until late 2014.

WWE has applied for a trademark for the name “Bragging Rights”, which could indicate that talks to resurrect the brand split could have merit.

The next WWE house show in Madison Square Garden is set for February 27, 2015, and has a completely revamped lineup.

The theme of the house show is now “Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night” with a tag team main event of John Cena & Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt & U.S. champion Rusev. One has to wonder if that indicates Cena/Rusev and Roman/Bray matches at Wrestlemania 31.

Other matches for MSG are Randy Orton & Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins & Kane, as well as Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro.

Chris Jericho is scheduled for the show as well.
