WWE Monday Night RAW LIVE Results For 1/19/15: RAW Reunion

Columns, Reviews, Top Story

It’s a star filled show on RAW tonight. It’s a Legends Reunion, with confirmed appearances by Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. It is also the last RAW before the Royal Rumble. If I was a betting man, I would expect a big battle royal like brawl to end the show.

Lesnar Fight On Free TV? Yeah Right

Brock Lesnar came out to start the show with Paul Heyman. Heyman started to do his intro but Lesnar stopped him. Lesnar said he was here to fight and told Rollins to get his ass out there. Lesnar said Rollins had 10 seconds to get his weasly ass out there. Lesnar said when he shows up, Rollins is nowhere to be found.

Triple H came out. He said he understands why Brock is upset. HHH said he knew Brock would do the same thing if given the opportunity, so maybe it is understandable. HHH said they could go to the back, get Brock a nice steak, and Heyman and HHH could talk. Lesnar asked HHH if he was here to fix this or to fight. Steph came out with Big Show and Kane. Steph told Brock to really think about this. Heyman said he was trying to help the situation. Seth Rollins appeared on the tron. Rollins told Lesnar to be patient. He said Lesnar will get his shot at him, right before he beats Lesnar for his Title at the Rumble. Heyman told the Authority to put a leash on their puppy before things get crazy. He said this Sunday will still end with Lesnar on top, then John Cena came out.

Cena said he wanted to come out here and tell Lesnar to keep it up. Because everything they say lights him up and gives him motivation to walk out of the Rumble as Champ. Cena called the Authority a pile of ashes. Cena called them ash-holes. Steph said John Cena used to be someone the kids could look up to because they know he would win at the end of the day. But she said those are lies now, because he is responsible for bringing back the Authority and getting those three men fired. She said no one wants to see him win at the Royal Rumble, because he isn’t the man he used to be. Seth appeared on the tron again and called him a loser and a failure. He said if there is one thing Brock and him could agree on, it is that John Cena’s time is up and he should get out of the Rumble match. Cena said its about respect. And after he wins this Sunday, they don’t have to like him, but they will respect him. Cena said if he wins this Sunday, the Authority should give Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan their jobs back. HHH said he gave them that opportunity last week. HHH said Cena had to put something on the line as well. HHH said Cena will have a match tonight. If he wins, all three guys get their jobs back. If Cena loses, he is out of the Title match this Sunday. Before Cena could answer, HHH said it’ll be up to the WWE Universe with the WWE App.

At Least JBL’s Burials Lead To This

WINNER: John Cena

Cena celebrated in the crowd. Triple H demanded Sting come back out.

Brock Lesnar came out instead. He went after Rollins. He ended up hitting the F5 on Kane and Big Show as Rollins bailed.

FINAL THOUGHTS

There was a lot to process there in the main event. We had Sting come out to help Cena win, and then disappear. And actually I don’t mind that. They quickly shifted the focus of the closing segment to the Royal Rumble. I don’t know if it was the goal, but Lesnar kind of came out as the face between both Cena and Rollins. Imagine if Lesnar was around more and did that all of the time? There is definitely a lot of questions going into the Rumble on Sunday. There is no clear cut winner in the WWE Title match or the Rumble. Daniel Bryan was kind of treated as an afterthought on the show. The legends were a nice touch. And I’m honestly stunned there wasn’t a Rumble like brawl to close the show. The second hour kind of dragged. The wrestling on the show wasn’t bad. I’m going to give the show a 6, and can honestly say I’m looking forward to seeing the Royal Rumble this Sunday.

Until Next Time,
