News

UPDATED:

At the tail end of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns responded to fan criticism over his Royal Rumble win, whether their reaction was fair, and the notion he has been hand-picked by the higher up’s of WWE. Reigns effectively stated that:

  • Life isn’t fair
  • He hoped for a different fan reaction
  • However, fans pay their hard earned money at WWE events and they can and should boo and cheer for whom they want
  • He has to lace his boots up and perform every night for them
  • His Rumble win is just an opportunity that he needs to capitalize on
  • That he comes from a long-line of wrestlers
  • He will headline Wrestlemania 31 and beat Brock Lesnar

SECOND UPDATE:

Daniel Bryan was also interviewed at the end of Monday Night Raw and had this to say about Roman Reigns and Royal Rumble 2015:

  • Fans were disappointed at outcome of Royal Rumble
  • Daniel Bryan was also disappointed, but not because it was Roman Reigns, but because he it wasn’t him
  • Roman Reigns seized the opportunity
  • Bryan has no doubt that Roman Reigns can perform at Wrestlemania 31 with the same effort as Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose
  • He had hoped that he could win the Rumble because he never lost the belt and that Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar is the ultimate David vs. Goliath story
  • He needs to finally end his feud with Kane at Thursday’s casket match so he can become WWE World Heavyweight Champion again

So, do you think Daniel Bryan’s and Roman Reigns’ Raw comments, alongside their earlier comments below, change anything for you the fans?

Original version of article:

As is the way nowadays, both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns took to twitter in response to the fan reactions to Royal Rumble 2015.

WWE Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns

First up was Daniel Bryan, the clear fan favourite who exited the Royal Rumble too early.

Next up, a few hours later, was Roman Reigns who heard the boo’s over his Royal Rumble win.

Granted, the boo’s may be less about Roman Reigns and more about (1) how Daniel Bryan was elimanted, and (2) how WWE executed the last several minutes of the Rumble with half of the last four men being implausible Rumble winners, The Big Show and Kane, with Rusev and Reigns seeming more fresh and plausible.

So, what else will Roman Reigns have to say on WWE Raw tonight about the fan reaction to his Rumble win and Wrestlemania 31 title shot against Brock Lesnar? We’ll find out after WWE Raw’s Royal Rumble free re-broadcast tonight.

As I said earlier, WWE didn’t give the fans what they wanted (Daniel Bryan), but what they expected (Roman Reigns) in a most implausible way. Can Roman Reigns overcome the botched booking? Step 1 to do that happens tonight later on a very different Monday Night Raw.

With the snow storm delayed live-action WWE Raw tonight, after Roman Reigns attempt to placate fans tonight, how will WWE change their established plans as we head into Thursday’s live show? Will Roman Reigns remain the face of next month’s Fast Lane PPV heading into his Wrestlemania 31 match with Brock Lesnar?

Stay tuned.
