Fast & Furious used to be something I labeled as a “guilty pleasure.” But you shouldn’t be guilty about liking something. In a landscape where studios are quick to reboot a franchise after three films or remake something that was successful in another film era, you have to appreciate the longevity of the Fast & Furious series. It’s a franchise that started out as a bunch of road-racing hoods stealing DVD players to having a family dynamic where they upped the stakes when it came to heists and good old-fashioned revenge.

Furious 7 looks to push things to the stratosphere in terms of car stunts and action that defies the law of physics. And that’s fine by me. After the great Super Bowl ad, Universal has gone ahead and launched the latest trailer timed in accordance with the release of Seventh Son in theaters tomorrow.

We get everything from the Super Bowl and then some (The Rock vs. Jason Statham!). Kurt Russell also pops up. He’s adds to a cast that already includes late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese, and Ludacris.

Furious 7 is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring), who is taking over for Justin Lin, and written by Chris Morgan (who has been a staple to the series since the third installment, Tokyo Drift). Though plot details are at a minimum, revenge lokos to be the name of the game with Jason Statham looking to take out Dom’s “family” one by one. Universal Pictures will release Furious 7 into theaters on April 3rd, 2015 where it will kick out of the starting block fast as it gets the jump on the summer blockbusters. If you missed the first trailer, you can watch it here.
