Marvel Comics’ Secret Wars 2015 Spoilers: Secret Wars #1 Preview w/ All 12 Regular & Variant Covers So Far! w/ Alex Ross’ Multiverse Homage To 1984 Mike Zeck!

News

Marvel Comics’ 2015 Secret Wars #1 hits stands this week. It follows directly from Free Comic Book Day 2015’s (FCBD 2015) Secret Wars #0 and its lackluster, but spoilerrific kick-off to Marvel Comic’ big 2015 event.

Secret Wars #1 is joined by 55 tie-in titles over the next several months. Should be an interesting time for Marvel fans!

Spoilers and preview art follow for Marvel’s Secret Wars 2015 #1!

Secret Wars #1 has 12 covers including variant covers that we know off. My fave is Alex Ross’ multiverse homage to artist Mike Zeck’s original 1984 Secret Wars #1 cover. This is not Alex Ross’ first time paying homage to Mike Zeck’s 1984 cover; he also did a painting recreation for the hard cover collection of the original Secret Wars in 2008.

On the below left is Alex Ross’ 2015 Secret Wars cover, on the below middle is Alex Ross’ 2008 Secret Wars cover, and on the below far right is Mike Zeck’s 1984 Secret Wars original cover.

UPDATED! In addition, Marvel Comics’ two-interior pages preview of Secret Wars #1 is available here.
