With last week’s King of the Ring tournament and our coverage of said event plus blast from the past rants of previous KOTR pay-per-views, it is only fitting that we deliver to you the first ad for the upcoming release of It’s Good to Be the King: The Jerry Lawler Story.
Set to arrive on both DVD and Blu-ray on May 19th, WWE’s latest retrospective spotlights a Hall-of-Famer that most of the WWE Universe know from being in the broadcast booth. But Lawler has an extensive history as an in-ring performer that extends well beyond World Wrestling Entertainment.
From his days in Memphis to his infamous feud with Andy Kaufman, Jerry Lawler has managed to be a staple in wrestling for more than thirty years.
The Lawler set will include a career-spanning documentary and hours of extras, including at least twenty matches and additional segments and interviews. The Blu-ray will add an extra 90 minutes of supplemental material on top of that.
