Khabib Nurmagomedov Calls Out Anthony Pettis & Nate Diaz, Says He Wants To Fight Both On Same Night

Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t messing around.

After Anthony Pettis and Nate Diaz took social media shots at the lightweight fighter after he reinjured his knee and pulled out of his scheduled fight against Donald Cerrone, Nurmagomedov fired back and says that he wants to fight both men on the same night.

“I can fight these guys both same night,” Nurmagomedov said Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “These guys are easy money for me.”

Nurmagomedov has yet to be beaten and boasts a 22-0 perfect record. He was scheduled to meet Cerrone to determine the #1 contender at UFC 187 on May 23 but pulled out after he tore his meniscus in a training session. The 26-year old fighter hasn’t stepped into the Octagon in a year after already undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL in the same knee. The new injury has caused fans and fighters alike to continue their criticism of the brash Dagestan native.

“Fans sometimes talk crazy, but it’s OK,” Nurmagomedov said. “I understand fans are a little bit upset, I’m upset too. I’m not happy. One year, I [don’t] fight. This is not good news for me, not good news for fans. I understand this.”
