Following news of the sudden passing of the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, also known by his real name Virgil Runnels, the tributes have poured in.
That included hearing from:
- Family members like his son Dustin Runnels, aka WWE’s Goldust, and his ex-wife Terri Runnels, aka Marlena, here.
- His son Cody Rhodes / Runnels, aka Stardust’s, wife WWE’s Eden Stiles, aka Brandi Runnels, here.
- Even actor Stephen Amell, of CW’s Arrow and the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, and rumored opponent to Stardust at Summerslam 2015, here.
While we have yet to hear from son Cody Rhodes / Stardust on social media over his dad’s passing, the WWE locker-room paid tribute to The American Dream Dusty Rhodes / Virgil Runnels to kick off Money in the Bank 2015. The ten bell salute opened the MITB 2015 PPV followed by Dusty’s WWE theme song ring entrance tune.
