Big Brother 17 Episode 2 Recap & Spoilers 06.25.2015

Reviews, Top Story

The second part Big Brother 17’s season premiere just wrapped up! Here’s a recap of everything that went down, and what we think you should expect to come:

WARNING: Spoilers below (duh).

The episode started off by introducing us to six more of the sixteen houseguests of the summer. They are:

  • Becky Burgees – 26, Retail manager
  • Jason Roy – 25, Supermarket cashier
  • John McGuire – 27, Dentist
  • Liz Nolan – 23, Marketing coordinator
  • Steven Moses – 22, College student
  • Vanessa Rousso – 32, Professional poker player

This meant we had now filled 14 of the 16 slots of the summer, with the last two soon to be filled by the summer first BB Takeover.

Soon after the houseguests get to know each other, Julie Chen introduces us and the houseguests to the first BB Takeover guest of the summer: The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan. Phil tells us that his first “takeover” is to put two ex-racers into the BB house for the summer. They are:

  • Jackie Ibarra – 28, Professional dancer
  • Jeff Weldon – 27, Account executive

Julie tells the eight new houseguests that it is time for the second HoH competition, and that, similar to the first HoH, one houseguest must sit out. Vanessa volunteers.

The second HoH takes place, during which Jackie makes a deal with Jason for immunity. Jason wins the competition. His nominees and James nominees will compete on Sunday in the Battle of the Block competition to determine who will actually remain HoH.

Be sure to check back on Sunday for our recap of episode 3 of Big Brother 17, where nominations will take place, the BOTB competition, as well as more Phil Keoghan on Big Brother. Also, be sure to check out our daily coverage of the Big Brother live feeds beginning soon right here on Inside Pulse.
