WWE Monday Night Raw Preview for 08.17.2015: Summerslam 2015 Go-Home with Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Undertaker Confirmed

WWE will have the last Monday Night Raw before Summerslam 2015, with the last major storyline developments before the year’s second biggest show.

On the show last week, WWE announced that both The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar would be on Raw tonight, to do the final hype for their main event match. Their appearances, either separately or together (or both!) are likely to be what the show is built around.

WWE.com hypes it “Same arena, same time”
Before they battle in one of the biggest rematches in WWE history at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker will be in the same arena at the same time on Raw. The last time these combustible elements came together under the same roof was on July 20, when The Beast and The Deadman traded furious punches in a fight so chaotic, it required an army of Superstars and law enforcement officials to pry the monstrous rivals apart.

In addition, John Cena announced on Tough Enough that he would be back for Raw this week to presumably accept Seth Rollins for the Title vs. Title match for Summerslam 2015. This will be Cena’s first Raw appearance since Rollins broke Cena’s nose with a high knee in a main event match.

The Diva Revolution is expected to continue with 2 feature matches that each get a nice block of time. There was some talk that Charlotte and Naomi had heat over a bad match on Smackdown, but that is reportedly cleared up. Expect various singles or doubles combinations of all three diva teams.

Plus hype will continue for the other major feuds – Randy Orton vs. Sheamus, Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro, Roman Reigns/Dean Ambrose vs. the Wyatts and the tag team scene.

Here is WWE.com’s Five preview points for the show:

  • Will The Phenom and The Beast brawl before SummerSlam?
  • Should Orton watch his back on Monday?
  • Will Cena meet Rollins face-to-face on Raw?
  • How will Lana get payback against Rusev and Summer Rae?
  • Which Diva trio will stand tall before SummerSlam?

To promote the Undertaker’s return, WWE released this really cool “canvas” video:
