1. Curtis Axel defeated Adam Rose. Rose cut a promo while wearing glasses before the match. He teased his babyface routine before saying he would poop all over the party. He issued an open challenge, which Axel accepted. Axel received a big hometown pop and there was a loud “Joe” (Hennig) chant at one point.
2. The Ascension defeated R-Truth and Fandango. The crowd was revved up for Truth’s pre-match routine and they also liked Fandango. Truth and Fandango had some fun doing the other’s dances beforehand. The crowd was so fired up after the opening match and for the babyface entrances, but they were nearly silent by the time this match concluded.
