Although SummerSlam is approaching, there’s a UFC Fight Night scheduled for the same time and originating from the unlikely location of RIGHT HERE in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, so I probably won’t be watching the WWE offering for a while. I will be all over NXT Takeover on Saturday, however.
With that, let’s open up the mailbag.
Letter No. 1
Everyone says that the Clique “used their power” to manipulate story lines, bury people, etc. My question is: HOW? Did they cozy up to Vince? Was Shawn really Vince’s boy, to the point that Vince listened to everything that a drug-fuelled HBK said? Was it also the Clique members deciding they wanted all the titles and main event matches? I guess I don’t understand exactly how they used their stroke and friendships to their advantage.
Yeah, unfortunately it really was Vince getting fixated on keeping Shawn happy to the point where things got wildly out of control in the Clique’s favor in 1995, and even Shawn would later admit that.
