Michael Elgin defeated Silas Young:
Good, competitive match. Young tried to go toe to toe with Elgin which wasn’t a good idea. Young would eventually gain control of the match but couldn’t put Elgin away. Ultimately, Elgin’s freakish power proved to be Young’s downfall. I realize this is taped, but it does seem a bit strange to see Young losing right after his All Star Extravaganza win over Dalton Castle.
ACH defeated Caprice Coleman:
Very fast-paced and entertaining match. Respect was one of the themes as both shook hands before and after the match. ACH dropkick, brainbuster and 450 splash for the win.
Mandy Leon is next with her Inside ROH segment. They hype ROH doing a show in Japan next year and further collaborations between ROH and NJPW.
Hirooki Goto and The Briscoes defeated Kazuchika Okada and RPG Vice:
Okada got a huge pop from the crowd. About as fun as you would expect this to be, with all 6 working well together. A very cool sequence between Goto and Okada around half-way, with the crowd lapping it up. Tons of high spots as the ending came close, including a picture perfect Okada dropkick on Goto. Jay Driller on Baretta for the win. Great stuff.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Adam Cole is announced for next week.
