Columns, Top Story

WWE had another new Raw on Monday, what did the Pulse Wrestling crew think of the show?

The New Day are part of the most entertaining segments yet again.

Rusev (“Ruru”) and Summer Rae nearly made me want to stop watching.

Randy Orton put in a great in-ring performance.

Sasha Banks was fantastic, as expected.

I enjoy Corporate Kane on the mic, surprisingly.

Brock Lesnar was fun to watch in smiley mode.

Kevin Owens did an excellent job. His in-ring taunts are worth pointing out and complimenting.

Natalya beating Paige was a shocker but not logical to the overall Divas scene.

But this was a really tough episode to watch in livetime.

Heath Slater, Damien Sandow, Cesaro and Dean Ambrose were four talents missing in action that would’ve helped this program substantially.

Everybody loves an iron man match until they have to sit through an iron man match. The marks are going to pretend this match was 30 minutes of kissing God.

1. Kicking off the show with Lesnar and Heyman is a good idea, although I’d like to see Brock move on from his feud with the Undertaker

2. RandyShield vs the Wyatts was pretty much what we’ve seen from them a hundred times before, which isn’t to say that it wasn’t fun at times. Harper, Ambrose and Reigns all worked hard, while Randy and Bray were sort of just there and Braun Strowman sucked maybe 1% less

1) Any time you start with Paul Heyman, you’re doing something right. Sadly, this was the best part of the show, as per usual. The gap between Heyman on the mic and anybody else on the roster is so vast, that it’s a damn shame. Great promo but further proves the point that WWE is lacking someone people give a damn about.

2) The whole Randy/Shield vs The Wyatts was an exercise in paint by numbers. Ambrose is showcasing himself to be the best person in that whole program and I hope the rumors are true that he’s about to get pushed. That said, can someone please get Roman Reigns off my TV?

3) Sheamus vs Neville made me pissed I still believe and trust WWE programming. What a terrible squash match.

4) Paige vs Natalya was great for what it was and you finally got to see a clean finish. Good match and I enjoy Paige and her technical ability more than the next guy. Nice to see Natalya get some shine as well.

5) Kevin Owens is a godsend. Give me him talking crap and kicking people in the teeth any day of the week. It’s just good television. He plays his role so well and is the dark horse future Ace the company has needed. He and Ambrose really are the future.

7) This whole Kane angle makes me long for the Katie Vick storyline. It’s that bad.

8) My heart weeps for Sasha Banks. She’s such a wonderful performer who was iron-strike hot in NXT and is now being wasted on RAW. Bring back the Boss Bitch. Let her fly solo. The people demand it.

9) Rusev/Lana was what it was. Filler for a bad episode of Raw.

10) Cena/ Big E wasn’t bad persay, just formulatic. Big E looked good and you know what you’re getting out of Cena by this point. Wasn’t bad, it just didn’t excite me or move the needle so to speak.
