WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, 72, had a preliminary hearing this past Wednesday in Allentown, PA. Snuka is being charged for third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter over the death of then-girlfriend Nancy Argentino in 1983. Despite Snuka looking frail during his appearance, his attorney, Robert Kerwin, said that Snuka is “looking forward to clearing his name.”
“He is not dreading this trial. He is looking forward to clearing his name. And I expect he’ll be found innocent and all charges,” Kerwin said.
Snuka’s attorneys agreed to bypass the preliminary hearing in order to get transcripts and other alleged evidence against Snuka that the grand jury has reviewed.
Snuka’s grandchildren started a GoFundMe Campain for their grandfather last month. They are looking to raise $50,000 to help pay for his medical expenses as he battles stomach cancer. Since the campaign was created, they have only raised $470 as of this writing.
