JT’s 10 Thoughts On… NXT 11th November, 2015 (Nia Jax, Tye Dillinger, Samoa Joe)

10 Thoughts, Top Story

1. Tye Dillinger is one of those guys that has the talent, but is just missing the ‘it’ factor to really break out. Baron Corbin, however, is tall and has attitude, which is apparently a substitute for talent in some people’s eyes. Fortunately Apollo Crews attacks Corbin and saves us from having to watch him wrestle.

2. I would not be the first to comment on how over Bayley is as a face, but it’s somewhat remarkable that she is able to pass on some of her fan love to perennial lower mid-carders the Hype Bros. Their match against Bliss, Blake and Murphy was typical of the trios tag nonsense that WWE loves so much at the moment, although I must admit the Bayley to Belly on Murphy was pretty funny.

3. And it’s time for more Divas action as Nia Jax takes on a jobber in green. Jax is decent in the ring and different from the average Diva, but I wonder how long it will be before Vince gives her the stink face as a finisher…

4. So I keep seeing ads for this new WWE video game in every break and every second in-program segment. Readers – is it worth buying?

5. Dash & Dawson vs The Vaudvillains had the potential to be a good to great match, and both teams work hard to make it happen. Aiden English proved to be MVP, bumping hard for Dash & Dawson as the heels worked some old school tactics to gain the advantage.

6. When Gotch finally got the hot tag he used his unusual offense to clean house, but a poorly timed tag led to English tapping out to a modified figure four from Dawson.

7. I can get behind Dash & Dawson as tag champs, although hopefully this won’t be the end of the feud with English and Gotch.

8. Samoa Joe talks about being defined by actions rather than words, and how he carried Finn Balor through the Dusty Classic. Joe has never been the strongest on the mic and works better as a silent monster, but I guess in WWE he has to be like everyone else…

9. Joe fights off five refs to choke Balor out! This simultaneously demonstrates how serious Joe is and how useless WWE refs are…

10. Pretty much a filler episode of NXT, with a decent tag match and developments on the Divas scene.
