Raymond Burr’s final cases as Perry Mason arrive in March

Disc Announcements

Raymond Burr proved that you can go home again when he returned to the role of Perry Mason in a made for TV movie nearly 20 after closing his office door. The special was a hit and led to Burr making a handful of movies every year. Burr’s health wasn’t great, but thankfully playing Perry allowed him to spend a lot of time sitting at desks and tables while the younger actors ran around looking for clues. Perry Mason: The Case of the Killer Kiss aired weeks after Burr passed away. The specials didn’t quite end there as Paul Sorvino and Hal Holbrook arrived to fill in for the lawyer. Now the last two Burr movies and the four guest star films are arriving in Perry Mason: Movie Collection Volume 5 on March 22, 2016.

Among the guest stars that might be the real guilty parties are Kathy Ireland, Tina Yothers of Family Ties, David Rasche, Regis Philbin, Dixie Carter, Richard Riehle, Victoria Jackson, and Montel Williams. The three DVD set has an SRP of $59.99.
