With the success of Arrow and The Flash, The CW and CTV have decided that there is enough room on their mid-season slate of programming for even more heroes… or legends.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres tomorrow night and is the latest from executive producer, Greg Berlanti. The show sees the introduction of time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) who is tasked with assembling a group of both heroes and villains to defeat a seemingly impossible threat. The series sees characters from both Arrow and The Flash reprise their roles while also introducing new heroes from the DC Comics pantheon. Familiar faces from Arrow include The Atom (Brandon Routh) and White Canary (Caity Lotz). On The Flash side of things, Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) will play larger roles in the new show. They will be joined by new characters including Jeff Jackson (Franz Drameh) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).
Last summer, I caught up with Legends Of Tomorrow‘s Victor Garber to get a preview of the new series at CTV’s Upfront Presentation. Victor explains why the villains and heroes from The Flash and Arrow are forced to work together in order to defeat what might be the biggest threat to date.
