Traditionally the Royal Rumble has been one of my favorite events of the year, but last year’s disaster doesn’t fill me with confidence leading up to The Roman Reigns Show on Sunday.

Since the writers know how to do exactly one story line and one story line only, the focus of the product since November has been evil owner Vince McMahon clashing with rebellious babyface Roman Reigns, just as it has been for the past 15 years. Ratings for Monday’s “Raw” sunk to yet another low, as even the promise of Brock Lesnar coudn’t make people sit through three hours of Roman Reigns.

I’ve got nothing against the guy. You’ve got to push someone, after all. But filling a 100,000-seat stadium in metropolitan Dallas based off this stuff seems like a huge stretch at this point. But I’ll be happy to be proven wrong.
