Nikki Bella To Undergo Neck Surgery, John Cena’s Advice On Injury

Nikki Bella recently spoke with eonline.com, and revealed that she will be having neck surgery this week. Here are the highlights…

On Getting Neck Fusion Surgery: “I have basically a broken neck, a pretty bad herniated disk. What makes mine a little bit difficult than most people is that I have some disk behind my vertebrae so with a lot of prayers we’re gonna pray that the doctors can get the piece behind my vertebrae with just a bone fusion.”

On Her MRI From October: “Right when we saw that we knew OK no more ring work,” Nikki revealed. “So it’s just been a ware and tear and what we do it’s entertainment but there’s a reason why we say, ‘Don’t try this at home.’”

On How Serious The Surgery Is: “There is a potential that this is career-ending,” Nikki explained. “We will only know that when I get out of surgery on Wednesday and then basically how the bone heals Wednesday. So that’s been tough but I truly have such hope that I will get to compete in that ring another day, I really do.”

Bella also spoke with WWE.com; you can check out two highlights below.

On whether John Cena gave her advice about the injury: “The reason why we were able to catch it now is because of him. He always taught me that health is number one. Without health, we’re nothing. He’s the reason I got the MRI, and I know he’s the reason I’ll be back stronger than ever. He’s been there for me every step of the way, and he’s helped me make it positive. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him, and I hate that he’s injured, but now I’ll get to have him every day to help me get back. It’s going to be awesome. Like living with a personal life coach.”

On if her rehab will be on Total Divas: “The cameras never stop filming, so you’ll get to see this whole process step by step. Unfortunately, they’re not allowed to go inside doctors’ offices with me, but they’ve been there on the car rides, when I walk in, when I walk out. I even filmed a meeting with one of the doctors. They’re going to be there for the surgery and they’re going to be there for my whole rehab.”
