On January 22 2016, I had the chance to interview So You Think You Can Dance‘s Eddie ‘Neptune’ Eskridge & Derek Piquette just before their live tour stop at the Sony Centre For The Performing Arts in Toronto, Ontario.
In our interview, we discussed what life on the tour has been like. The pair were both choreographed by Talia Flavia and we talked about her influence on them. I asked Megz if she thought it was an advantage to know that the twelfth season of the show would separate the Stage and Street dancers right at the beginning and how this was obviously influenced by the fact that previous seasons of the show, almost always featured one stage and one street dancer at the end. Edson opened up about the importance of a dancer being versatile. I asked about the dancers on Season 12 being notably resilient and Megz shed light on how it took her fourth tries to finally make it in and that this was something that dancers have to prepare themselves for. I also asked the pair about what they plan on doing next.
