Daniel Bryan announced today on Twitter that, effective immediately, he would be retiring from in-ring competition. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion revealed that he would elaborate on tonight’s episode of Raw. After nearly a year on the sidelines, it appears that Daniel Bryan will not ever be returning to the WWE ring.
In a brief statement on Twitter today, Bryan announced that he would be retiring from WWE, effective immediately.

Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude
