WWE Suspends Titus O’Neil 90 Days For Grabbing Vince McMahon

News, Top Story

In the wake of Daniel Bryan’s retirement from the sport of wrestling, it has been reported that Titus O’Neil (real name Thaddeus Michael Bullard) has been suspended for grabbing WWE Chairman Vincent K. McMahon’s arm as the two were headed backstage on this week’s “Monday Night Raw.”

Apparently this playful arm grab was enough to warrant a 90-day suspension.

What is strange about suspension is that it did not occur during the live broadcast and was only seen by those who switched over to the WWE Network to watch the post-Raw coverage. Also, O’Neil is one of the best ambassadors on the roster doing arguably more charity work than most other WWE superstars. In May 2015, he won “Celebrity Dad of the Year” as part of the MEGA Dad Awards.

The timing for the suspension comes at a time when the roster is already depleted leading up to WrestleMania 32 and its occurrence during Black History Month is also unfortunate.

What is curious is the length of the suspension. A three-month leave from World Wrestling Entertainment seems excessive when you consider the first violation for WWE’s Abuse & Drug Testing Policy is only 30 days.
