– Bret Hart spoke with WrestleZone Radio for a new interview. Some highlights are below:
On who should win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: “I am going to go with The Big Show. I think they destroyed him at the Royal Rumble a few months ago. They might need to take the actual giant of wrestling and try to build him up a little bit. Try to repair the damage they did dumping him out like a sack of flour like the last time I watched him at the Royal Rumble. Big guys like that, it should be hard to throw them out of a battle royal. Andre the Giant never lost a battle royal. Ever. When you get a guy as big as Big Show they should take advantage of that, promote that and utilize that. Respect that. I think they need to do a lot of that in this match.”
On Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar match: “I’m a big Brock Lesnar fan. As far as what he presents and brings to the ring. I’m a big fan of Dean Ambrose too but logically speaking if I was Vince McMahon you can’t have anyone Dean Ambrose’s size destroy Brock Lesnar. Whether it’s with a gimmick or a prop or a chainsaw or whatever it is. Brock Lesnar is the Tyrannosaurus Rex right now of wrestling. You’ve got to keep him strong. I think he’ll destroy Dean Ambrose. I think Dean will do a lot to sell the match and make the match. He’s a real talent. I think there’s still a lot of box office in Lesnar. If Dean Ambrose was to beat him I think it would hurt his stock a little bit.”
