Rabblecast 448 – Head Injuries and Role Models

The topic of head injures is something that we, as a people, are just beginning to understand a little bit more with the help of medical research. Concussions, once thought just to be part of the game, have been proven to be career and life shortening injuries that take their toll over time. Football, Mixed Martial Arts, and even Pro Wrestling(just to name a few) are taking steps to curtail these kind of injuries.

And then, somehow, we talk about the idea of, role models. The celebrities and athletes that are put on pedestals by their fans. Only to have perceptions change after said celeb/athlete say or do something wrong.

Fans of our “Horrible Events in History” segment, rejoice, as Doug brings us another entry. The Boston Molasses Disaster.
