There are some interesting revelations in the cover in particular that I will tackle after that the cover and solicitation below.

“Who Is Superwoman?” part one! Lois Lane takes flight! Now powered up with the abilities of Superman, Lois pledges to carry on the super-legacy as Superwoman! There’s only one problem: Lois’ new powers are killing her, and neither she nor her friend and confidant Lana Lang know what to do about it. Will Lois even survive long enough to learn the deadly secret of Ultra Woman?

The new cover to Superwoman #1 includes the following characters:
DC Comics strange visitor

  • Lex Luthor
  • Steel (classic looking John Henry Irons)
  • Ultrawoman (the shadowed character?)
  • Strange Visitor (the fiery character in the white electric Superman/woman suit; see pre-Flashpoint iteration on the right)
  • Traci Thirteen / Girl 13
  • New Power Girl or Steel’s sister? (the female beside Traci Thirteen, but this is my least confident identity pick)
  • Rebirth’s Superman and his wife Lois Lane

The big spoiler here, that seems to reveal the end of the current Superman family comic books spanning event “The Final Days of Superman” aka “Super League” involves who I identify as Strange Vistor; the fiery character in the white Superman/woman costume.

The character sure looks like it gained its powers from the fiery Superman fraud tormenting DC Comics’ New 52 Trinity during the arc. I had assumed the fiery Superman would transfer his powers to imbue the New 52’s Lois Lane ti become Superwoman, but it looks she gets her powers differently.
