Rasslin’ Roundtable for NXT Takeover: The End

Tonight is NXT Takover: The End!

Steel Cage Match for the NXT Title
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Finn Balor

Jake Ziegler – I would be shocked if they went back to Balor as Champion, especially with the prospect of Joe v Nakamura on the horizon.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Penny; As much as Finn really wants to stay in NXT, the Club’s presence on Raw and his nuclear face heat means he’s GOING to get called up sooner rather than later. So I’m going to guess Joe retains so he can drop it to Nakamora in a beautifully, ridiculously brutal stiff match mid-summer, and Finn’s time in NXT comes to The End.
Winner, Joe’s Gonna Promote You!

Widro: It’s still unclear to me who is going to win. Usually with these matches it’s a matter of predicting who might be moving to the main roster but it could be either or both for the brand extension. My guess is that Joe retains and will face Nakamura at NXT Takeover Brooklyn.
Winner: Joe

Austin Aries vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Jake Ziegler – Should be a tremendous match, and Nakamura v Joe is where the money is.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Penny; Aeries is, as we all agree, here to build stars and get other guys over. Not that Nakamora needs any help in that department. But I fully expect Aeries to make Nakamora earn his all but guaranteed win here.
Winner; Japanese for “Come At Me Bruh!!!”

Widro: Should be a great match
Winner: Nakamura

NXT Tag Team Title
American Alpha (c) vs. The Revival

Jake Ziegler – American Alpha rules. This should be another good match between the two teams, but similar to the NXT Title match, I’d be very surprised if they went back to The Revival, unless Alpha is going to get called up sooner than later.
Winners: American Alpha

Penny; They’re both good teams and their last match was excellent, but neither pairing really do much for me personally. Still, I doubt the Alphas will drop here.
Winner; Fans of excellent technical tag wrestling.

Widro: With the World and Women’s title predictions for retaining, I think we’ll see a change here
Winner: The Revival

NXT Women’s Title
Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax

Jake Ziegler – Should be a decent match here, but a far cry from the division’s high point of Sasha v Bayley. No chance Asuka loses the title here.
Winner: Asuka

Penny; I fully expect this to be perhaps one of the most if not THE most brutal, punishingly stiff womens’ matches in WWE history. But I don’t expect Asuka to lose. It will be GLORIOUS, but it will only be the first in a series.
Winner; Queen of the Kubrick Smile

Widro: Nia is coming along nicely but she is no match for Asuka
Winner: Asuka

Tye Dillinger vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Jake Ziegler – I know very little of Almas, but he comes highly recommended. Dillinger is good in his role of making new guys look good.
Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas

Penny; Who? New guy I’ve never heard of I guess?
Winner; New guy.

Widro: Gotta be the silhouette guy
Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas
