Here is a quick look at some highlights on the shelves this week. Given that it’s a fifth week, just a few issues I want to talk about this week, plus a few new TPBs and HCs, so without further ado let’s dive in…

New This Week:

Jupiter's Legacy 2 1Jupiter’s Legacy 2 #1 – So far I’ve been enjoying Jupiter’s Circle more than Legacy but I’m open to this new series.

Darth Vader #22 – As I’ve said before, I’ll miss this series but I’m interested to see what will end up taking its place. The final arc is shaping up to be a nail biter as Aphra has a lot to answer for.

Lobster Johnson: The Metal Monsters of Midtown #2 – I really enjoyed the first issue, in fact I’ve been enjoying a lot of Lobster Johnson lately. If you can still find issue #1 in your shop, it’s a fine jumping-on point for new readers and I highly recommend it.

Plutona #5 – This has been a great series and this should be a great finale. I can’t wait to see what Emi Lenox comes out with next!

Other issues to look forward to – Captain America: Steve Rogers #2Dark Knight III: The Master Race #5Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency: A Spoon Too Short #5East of West #27, Spider-Gwen Annual #1The Spirit #12The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #9

Collected Editions

Jughead Vol 1Jughead Vol. 1 TPB – Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson have been doing making some great comics with this run. It’s a perfect pairing to Mark Waid and Fiona Staples/Veronica Fish’s Archie.

Dead Letters Vol. 3 The Devil’s Chorus TPB – The third arc of the series, this is the first printing of the story. The first two arcs were printed in single issues before being cancelled.

Swamp Thing: Trial By Fire TPB

Jupiter’ Circle Vol. 2 TPB – Mark Millar has been building a great world in these Jupiter series. Personally, I prefer Circle over Legacy (also out this week) though I’m looking forward to the latter.
