DVD Reviews: Rescue Bots: Heroes of Tech & Power Rangers Ninja Storm

DVD Reviews, Reviews, Top Story

Transformers Rescue Bots: Heroes of Tech continues the adventures of Autobots who have taken the roles of rescue vehicles in the island town of Griffin Rock in Maine. The mixing of machine and man serves the remote community well even though the authorities can’t come out and admit their police car, fire engine and other cars are e Chase, Heatwave, Blades and Boulder. The Discovery Family hit show features a message of how technology can help us. This is a rather big message in an era where people make millions teaching the unsuspecting to go off the grid using their non-informative websites. The episodes on this compilation include “One For the Ages,” “Space Bots,” “The Island of Misfit Tech,” “Too Many Kades” and “I Have Heard the Robots Singing.”

Power Rangers Ninja Storm: The Complete Series contains the 11th version of the franchise and aired back in 2002 on ABC. The show only starts with three kids getting to transform into Power Rangers. They were not even the best students at Wind Ninja Academy. Lothor returns to the Academy to destroy the place, the trio are the only ones that fight back against his attack. This is a big feat since the Sensei got changed into a guinea pig in the first battle. Now the little pet must train his students to take the next step in order to keep Lothor in check over the course of 38 episodes. The Red, Blue and Yellow Rangers are eventually joined by Crimson, Navy and Green Rangers.

Here’s Josie’s reviews of the robots and ninjas:

The video is 1.78:1 anamorphic for Rescue Bots. Power Rangers Ninja Storm is 1.33:1 full frame. Both transfers look fine. The audio is Dolby Digital Stereo. The levels are fine for when the action scenes kick into gear. Power Rangers is Closed Captioned.

No bonus features on either.
